Dr. Suryaprakash graduated from the prestigious Madras Medical College in 1977 and completed both his Diploma and Masters degree in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology – Govt. Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai under the guidance of Prof E. T. Selvam.

He underwent advanced training overseas in intraocular lens surgery in 1986 and was one of the pioneers of Phacoemulsification in Chennai. His main areas of interest are Cataract and Refractive surgery and he has been in the forefront of newer technologies in these fields.

Dr. Suryaprakash has also published several scientific papers in ophthalmic journals. He has performed live surgical demonstrations for Phacoemulsification as well as LASIK, and delivered several guest lectures for various national and international conferences.

DR. VENKATA MADHAVI,M.S.,D.O

Dr. Venkata Madhavi graduated from Madras Medical College as the best outgoing student and was awarded numerous accolades including the prestigious Johnstone gold medal. She completed her Diploma in Ophthalmology at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai before proceeding to obtain her Masters degree in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology- Govt. Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai.

She has undergone advanced training in retina care at the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia. She specializes in Refractive Surgery and has performed over 10000 LASIK procedures, with one of the most enviable success rates in this demanding ophthalmic specialty. Her other areas of interest are Pediatric Ophthalmology, Squint Surgery and Contact Lenses

DR.VISHNU SURYAPRAKASH MS.,DNB.,FICO.,MBA

Dr.Vishnu graduated from the prestigious Madras Medical College in 2007. He went on to train in ophthalmology from the renowned Aravind Eye Hospital , Madurai and obtained his Masters degree in Ophthalmology in 2011. He was the recipient of the “ Dr.G.Venkatasamy Gold medal “ for the best outgoing post graduate.

He went on to complete a fellowship in retina from the famous Sankara Nethralaya in 2014. A fellow of the International council of Ophthalmology, Dr. Vishnu has several publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit. Dr.Vishnu is a skilled surgeon and is always aiming to bring in new technological advancements for the benefit of his patients

DR. B. SHOBANA, MBBS, DNB (Ophth), FICO(UK)

Dr. Shobana graduated from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Deemed University), Chennai in the year 2004. After completing herpost-graduation in Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2007, she went on to do her fellowship from the International Council of Opthalmology, London in 2009. She has been a Consultant in Vishnu Eye Clinic and Laser Foundation since February 2008.

She has presented scientific papers and posters in Regional, National and International Ophthalmological conferences. She has been co-instructor ininstruction courses held at All-India Ophthalmology Conferences.

Her main areas of interest are Cataract, Cornea and Pediatric Ophthalmology.

DR. P.J. RAMANAKUMAR M.S.,DNB.,FRCS (Glas)

Dr. Ramana Kumar graduated from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai in 1998 and completed his Masters in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology- Govt Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai in 2002. He went on to complete his Vitreo-Retina Fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya after which he worked in the UK as a Retina Consultant at Southend University Hospital.

A fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, he embraces new technologies and uses them to provide his patients the best of care.

DR. P.M. ARAVIND M.S

Dr. Aravind specializes in Oculoplasty and Reconstructive surgery. He trained at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, one of the premier training eye institutions of the country.

Dr. Aravind is a Fellow from the Moran Eye Centre, Salt Lake City, USA where he worked under world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Patel.

He has a keen interest in academics and has several national and international scientific paper presentations to his credit. He also loves to write and talk on creating public awareness on eye disorders. At Vishnu Eye Clinic, he strives to offer the latest techniques and technology in the field of Oculoplasty, with the best of skills and compassionate care.

DR. ISHRATH SULTANA MBBS, D.O

Dr. Ishrath graduated from the prestigious Madras Medical College following which an interest in Ophthalmology led to her pursuing a yearlong housemanship from the Govt. Ophthalmic Hospital in Chennai. She went on to complete her post graduation at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai and has since been a consultant at Vishnu Eye Clinic. Her fields of interest include treatment of Glaucoma and Corneal diseases.

Dr.Sindhuja graduated from the famous Madras Medical College in 2007. She excelled in her MBBS course with several distinctions to her credit. She then completed her Diploma in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology- Govt. Ophthalmic Hospital, Chennai in 2010. She then obtained her Diplomate in National board from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2013. Dr.Sindhuja has exemplary clinical skills and always keeps her patients at the forefront of everything she does .

DR. ANUMEHA PRIYADARSHINI, MBBS.,DNB

Dr.Anumeha completed her undergraduate MBBS degree from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2013.She then completed her Diplomate in National Board in Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examinations – New Delhi in 2017.Dr. Anumeha has attended several national ophthalmic conferences and has presented numerous scientific papers. Her poster won the Best Poster award at the Retina summit -2016.

DR. V.J. KARTHIK M.D., MBA

Dr. Karthik graduated from Madras Medical College after which he specialised in Anaesthesiology from Stanley Medical College. He currently is the Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Anaesthesiology at Stanley Medical College. He is an active member of the Indian Medical association as well as the Indian society of Anaesthesiologists. Dr. Karthik takes a special interest in Paediatric Anaesthesiology. His passion for administration has led to him acquiring an MBA in Hospital administration from the Anna University. In his free time Dr. Karthik loves to dabble in the stock market and to travel.
